Come join us for the Rich Weiss Race on April 14, 2024 at Tamihi Rapids. We have more gates up and the course is looking great!

The Rich Weiss Memorial Race has been BC's premier annual slalom race for 20 years.

The race is named for American Olympian Richard Weiss who spent many years training with the Chilliwack Centre of Excellence at the Tamihi Rapids throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Rich left our small community too early in an incident on the White Salmon River in Washington a year after his tremendous 5th place performance at the 1996 Olympics.

There will be a Slalom category and Recreational category (plastic boat). Race in one or both!
